Web alarm clock for 10:00 p.m.

You are halfway through filling pails and jugs when the 10:00 pm alarm pulls you away from the tap. Let it mark the point for checking every container before the overnight water interruption: cap the drinking-water bottles, move full pails somewhere stable, and see whether the kitchen and bathroom have enough. That short pause can prevent an unnoticed empty vessel from becoming a problem later.

Your water preparations depend on hearing the alert, so keep this alarm page open while you work. If you close its tab or browser, the alarm cannot sound; if your phone falls asleep, it may also stay silent, leaving the containers unfinished when the supply stops. Keep the phone awake, raise the volume to a level you can hear near running water, and place it away from splashes. A separate phone alarm is a sensible backup if you need to move between rooms.

Finishing this chore late in the evening can tempt you to have a heavy meal once everything is stored. If you still need something before 10:00 pm, choose a light snack and a modest drink that will not complicate the last checks or send you back through a freshly dried area. Set aside a larger meal, extra coffee, or a very sweet drink until the containers are covered and the taps have been checked.
