Web alarm clock for 11:01 p.m.

You are getting ahead of a possible brownout by setting an alarm for 11:01 pm, while there is still time to plug in your rechargeable lamp before you need it. The alert leaves 59 minutes before 12:00 am, enough to check that the charging indicator is on and place the lamp where it will be easy to find if the power goes out.

Your lamp preparation could be missed if the phone or computer running this alarm is set to silent. Check the device volume and sound mode, then use the alarm preview if available so you know the alert can be heard. Keep this page active and the device awake: if either is shut down, the alarm may not sound, leaving the rechargeable lamp without the reminder you expected.

Preparing for a brownout late in the evening is easier when you arrange the room before the usual lights disappear. Clear a spot for the lamp away from curtains, point it toward the doorway or main walking path, and keep its cable where nobody will trip over it. At 11:01 pm, you can also place a small torch beside the lamp, so you have immediate light while unplugging and carrying it after charging.
