Web alarm clock for 2:14 a.m.
You have finished securing the drying copra and are heading inside, but a 2:14 am alarm can bring you back out if the night rain arrives. Set it for the point when you want to check the mats or tarpaulin once more. That leaves enough room before 3:00 am to cover any exposed copra without rushing through a dark yard.
Because you are walking away from the copra, keep this alarm page open after setting the time and check that your phone has enough charge. Closing the page or browser will stop the alarm, and a sleeping device may prevent it from sounding, so the copra could remain uncovered when the rain begins. Leave the phone awake where you can hear it, with the volume set clearly above the sound of rain on a metal roof.
After the copra is settled for the night, a small drink of water is easier to manage than preparing a full meal before the alarm. If you are hungry, choose a light, ready snack and keep it away from the work area, where husk dust and damp hands can make eating awkward. Save coffee, a heavy plate of rice, or anything needing cooking until after the 2:14 am check, so you can step outside promptly and return indoors without leaving food unattended.
