Web alarm clock for 7:00 p.m.

Pull away from what you are doing when the alarm sounds, so you can report for the quarterly night patrol at 7:00 pm without letting the current task carry you past the hour. Set out your uniform, torch, radio, and any required log before returning to the job in front of you; the signal then marks a clean handover from one responsibility to the next.

Your patrol reminder needs more than a visible countdown if your phone is set to silent. After setting the browser alarm, check the device volume and sound setting, then use the preview if one is available. Keep the page open and the phone awake until 7:00 pm: closing the page or letting the phone sleep can prevent the patrol alarm from sounding. A separate vibration or watch alert can provide a discreet backup when noise would disturb people nearby.

Because this patrol starts early in the evening, decide before leaving what will make sleep easier when you return. Prepare water, a light meal, and tomorrow’s essentials now, and keep the room dim and quiet for later. Finishing those small jobs before 7:00 pm leaves fewer decisions after the shift, when you may want to wash up, put away your gear, and go straight to bed.
