Web alarm clock for 8:30 p.m.
While you are halfway through cooking noodles for the neighbours’ memorial gathering, set the alarm for 8:30 pm so you can step away from the pot when needed. It gives you a clear stopping point amid draining, portioning, and arranging the bowls. You will still have time afterward to wipe the counter, cover the servings, and have everything settled before 9:00 pm.
Because the noodles may keep both hands busy, leave the alarm page open once it is set and check that your phone’s sound is audible. Closing the page or browser cancels its chance to alert you, while a sleeping phone may also keep the alarm silent; either could leave the noodles unattended longer than you intended. If you need to move between the kitchen and the gathering area, keep the phone nearby and connected to power.
Cooking for a neighbourhood gathering can still bring plenty of voices, clattering bowls, and passing tricycles into the evening. By 8:30 pm, that noise may start easing, so an alarm volume that seemed obvious earlier could blend into quieter conversation or a running electric fan. Place the phone away from the stove and metal cookware, then choose a clear tone you can recognise without making the gathering feel disruptive.
