Web alarm clock for 8:55 p.m.

You wake to an 8:55 pm alarm with the motorbike still uncovered and the first monsoon drops threatening outside. The five minutes before 9:00 pm give you enough time to shake off sleep, grab the cover, and secure it before the rain strengthens. Keep your keys and footwear near the door so you do not lose those minutes searching in the dark.

Your motorbike reminder needs a signal you can hear over an electric fan, television, traffic, or rain hitting a metal roof. Set the alarm volume before resting and choose a clear tone that stands apart from those sounds. Test it from where you plan to sleep. Because a browser alarm will not sound after its page is closed or the phone goes to sleep, your motorbike may remain exposed; leave the page open, keep the phone awake, and connect a charger if needed.

As the neighbourhood settles near 9:00 pm, some sounds fade while sudden rain can become much louder. Put the phone close enough to notice the alarm, but away from pillows or fabric that muffle it. If the fan masks the test signal, lower it briefly or place the phone on a hard bedside surface, where the tone carries more clearly.
