Web alarm clock for 9:43 p.m.
Waking at 9:43 pm gives you a clear job before anything else: fill your water containers ahead of the overnight interruption. Shake off the sleep, check which pails, jugs, and bottles are empty, then start with those used for drinking and cooking. Seventeen minutes can cover a focused first round before 10:00 pm, without turning the task into a hurried search around the house.
While water runs into the containers, keep the alarm near enough to be heard over the tap, an electric fan, or noise from the street. Set the volume high and test it once if you are unsure how loud your phone or computer will sound. A browser alarm will not alert you if its page is closed or the device falls asleep, so your water containers could remain unfinished; keep the alarm active and the screen awake until it rings.
Once the pails and bottles are ready, have a little water if waking has left you thirsty, but keep late food simple and familiar. At this point in the evening, a heavy meal can take attention away from checking lids, clearing spills, and placing each container where the household can reach it during the interruption. Anything that needs lengthy preparation can wait until the water supply is secure.
