Web alarm clock for 12:27 a.m.

You have just woken at 12:27 am, and the water pump is still waiting to be started before the scheduled brownout. Set this alarm for the moment you need to get up, check the tank or hose, and switch the pump on. The 33 minutes before 1:00 am leave room to shake off sleep and handle the setup without rushing through a dark house.

Your pump reminder needs to make a sound you can actually hear. After choosing the alarm time, check whether your phone is on silent or its alert volume is low, then test the sound while you are still nearby. This browser alarm cannot warn you to start the water pump if the page is closed or the phone goes to sleep, so keep both active until it rings. A separate built-in phone alarm can serve as backup during an expected power interruption.

Before returning to bed, arrange the light you will need along the route to the pump. Leave a rechargeable lamp or torch beside you, with another near the switch if the area outside is poorly lit. Keep the beam pointed down as you walk so you can see wet flooring, steps, and the hose without flooding the household with bright light in the middle of the night.
